Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Department of Silchar Polytechnic currently has an intake capacity of 50 students and is affiliated under AICTE, New Delhi. It comes under the purview of SCTE (Sate Council for Technical Education), DTE(Directorate of Technical Education), Govt. of Assam.

The Mechanical Engineering Department is having the support of highly qualified faculty. The department have the laboratories like Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Machine, Strength of Material , Heat Engine, Automobile Engineering, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, CNC including the Workshop. So, the students get all the facility to perform the Experiments in the respective Subjects.
