Department of Civil Engineering

The present intake capacity of the department is 90 (ninety). The department follows the recent revised curriculum approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated by the State Council for Technical Education (SCTE) under the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Assam.

The department has qualified and experienced teachers with specialization in different fields of Civil Engineering. It has 6 (six) numbers of laboratories for different subjects of Civil Engineering.

Besides teaching, the teachers of the department are engaged in different community related works, as per need of the society. The Department involves in consultancy services for material testing, awareness programme in health and hygiene of rural people, multi hazard survey of public buildings of different district of Assam to assess the vulnerability to natural hazards, mason training programme etc.

The department also conducts skill development programs such as Auto-CAD, Total Station Survey, Soil exploration (SPT), mason training programme etc. so that students get hands on expertise on those related important fields.
